Good Drink & Good Food: Gastronomia is the big meeting for the proffessionals in the catering industry. With 11'000 visitors and around 170 stands it is the principal catering show for the french part of Switzerland. I was hired by GDI SA  to photograph their stand, staff and also the general atmosphere of the show.

During a  sensor maintenance and data collecting session with some members of the EFLUM Laboratory (EPFL, Switzerland) we were lucky to observe  impressives Kelvin-Helmoltz Breaking Wave Clouds over the top of the mountains.  This spectacular behavior of the air occurs when there is a velocity shear in a single continuous fluid. In this particular case, the Kelvin-Helmoltz waves were followed by a zone of the mountain that was directly exposed to the sun which explains the diffusion of the clouds on the left of the picture.
